This Frisian city is a perfect hideaway for all those boaters who want to escape from the busy canals and lakes of Sneek. Ijlst has a very idyllic atmosphere which enables visitors to relax and therefore perfect for a stopover. Especially picturesque is the Eeegracht which is lined with lime trees. Being in this city one should not miss to visit the old lumber mill which is still active and the town hall from the 14th century.
