Het vliegveld Valkenburg ondergaat een grote verbouwing. Start– en landingsbanen, hangars, verlichting, alles wordt vernieuwd. Er komt ook een nieuwe verkeerstoren. Op 21 juli van dat jaar worden de Orions op het vliegveld gelokaliseerd.
